The Creature Is Here!
The Terror Is Real!
The Mystery Will Keep You Guessing!
Just days before All Hallow’s Eve, the quiet town of Cadence, New York, becomes a hunting ground when retired professor Randy Nichols goes missing and the body of a young man who was brutally murdered is discovered in a horrific crime scene reminiscent of the Jim Crow era. An object that had been twice stolen over generations is returned and has a sinister power over anyone who comes in contact with it, turning friends and neighbors against one another and altering reality. A mythical creature arrives to taunt police officers and to collect an unpaid debt from the past.
When the agents from the FBI hate crimes division clash with Cadence Police Chief George Powless, Powless must look beyond the the evidence and confront a darkness rooted in the gravest crime of the “American Experiment.”
Creature of Secret Sorrows is a suspenseful thriller, but it’s also a deep dive into social and racial justice, historical guilt, and the road to redemption.
